The department trains the bachelors on a speciality "Marine power plants and their exploitation"

The following educational laboratories and specialized lecture-rooms work at department:
∙ marine power plants;
∙ ships auxiliary mechanisms;
∙ thermodynamics and heat transfer;
∙ automation of marine power plants;
∙ technology of use of oil, fuel and water;
∙ ship air condensing systems and refrigerating plants;
∙ diagnostics of marine power plants.

Professor-teaching staff of department is 12 men, including:
∙ 4 lecturers, candidates of technical sciences;
∙ 3 senior teachers;
∙ 5 assistants.
