Department trains the bachelors on a speciality "navigation".



The specialized lecture-rooms are equipped with means of training, breadboard models, posters, films according to a speciality.

In educational process a complex of the applied computer programs for testing and training are used: "Global Marine Distress Safety System”, "International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea ", "Marine Astronomy ", "Crew" (STSW 78/95).






In faculty there are laboratories with the modern equipment and specialized lecture-rooms:

∙ navigation and sailing directions;
∙ marine astronomy;
∙ electronavigational instruments; instruments
∙ meteorology and oceanolgy;
∙ management of a vessel;
∙ the simulator centre RADAR

Professor-teaching staff of faculty is 14 men, including:

∙ 3 lecturers, candidate of technical sciences,
∙ 7 senior teachers,
∙ 4 assistants.
